Love was certainly in the air recently at our Monmouth Nursing Home, Gibraltar, with Valentine’s Day celebrations for everybody, as well as a Valentine’s Wedding Anniversary!
Peter and Glenys, who moved into the nursing home together last month from their home in Hereford, celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary on Valentine’s Day. They enjoyed a romantic meal in the beautiful Home’s very own “Pillars Restaurant”, complete with red roses, chocolates and romantic live music.
Tanya Hannant, Home Manager at Gibraltar Nursing Home, commented: “It was an absolute pleasure for us to help Peter and Glenys celebrate 65 wonderful years of marriage, and on the most romantic day of year at that! We decorated every room here at Gibraltar and everyone was presented with roses and personalised Valentine’s Day cupcake; our home was full to the brim with love and celebrations.”
Bridget, who regularly visits Gibraltar to put on singing sessions and perform for everyone, was even presented with chocolates and a card from one of the gents living there.
Tanya continued: “We take every chance we can to put on special events and celebrations for our family members here, and this Valentine’s Day was one of the best we’ve ever had. Peter and Glenys have been together for an incredible 65 years; and we are delighted that they can continue their journey together here at Gibraltar.”
