When visiting various homes in order to make your decision about where to live, you will notice that each home is unique; the way in which each home supports the people living there will be different.

The support we offer individuals is designed specifically for that individual.  Carefully gathering information to allow us to meet the 5 Pillars of Holistic Wellness – Mental, Emotional, Physical, Spiritual and Social.  We achieve this by seeing the person first and any clinical diagnosis as secondary.

A person moving into our Monmouth Nursing Home is moving into their new home, they bring with them their life story, the house they live in adjusts to accommodate them and their belongings.  Throughout the house, not just in their bedroom, but in the hallway, lounge, dining room, kitchenette, you can see clues that this individual lives in that space.  Whether this is their personal chair, their piano, their personal objects from home on the mantelpiece, or their photos on the wall – their presence is felt both physically and emotionally.

Teams make every possible effort to include each person in the running of the household.  Their histories are understood in great detail; people are supported to quickly become a part of their new extended family.

Our household model of care is distinct from any other model. Fundamentally, the household model gives ownership of the home to the individuals who live there by putting them at the centre of each and every decision.
